Good morning!
I've been chatting around with a local coworker about model aviation, and for the third time in my life, I find myself deciding to enter this hobby.
With Joe Nall being such a huge part of the area, and my childhood, I'm actually surprising myself with coming to the realization that park flyers and foam bashing are largely where I want to see myself land in this hobby, at least for the time being.
That being said, it's been about 5 years since I was last part of a community, and I was wondering if there was anyway to search for local groups? As inspiring as it's been to chat with him, I don't think my coworker's group is it. Different visions in mind I think than how I'd like to engage with the hobby.
Doing some reading, I thought FT Groups might be a good place to start, but that seems to not be an active link at the moment. Do any of you fine people here on this forum have suggestions for finding different local groups, or maybe someone from the area could give me a good idea of a better group to start with?
Cheers,
DS
