I just like the look! I cant help it, but as a novice I thought it would be a step up from my Syma x5c/x12's

My query is I was thinking of using a quad esc ie 4esc in one like

Obviously I will match to motors etc but I was just curious are these any good? or are individual esc better?

I use a 4-in-1 ESC in one of my quads. It works great and cost me less than four individual ESCs. Other benefits is that it is lighter than four separate ESCs, no PDB or soldering is required, and some say it has less EM emission than individual ESCs. Downside is that if one ESC burns you have to get a new one or make a tricopter.
