This is my second attempt. The 1st attempt was way too heavy and went straight off the end of the runway into the grass.
I found the post by leaded50 about how they build and followed that a bit. This isn't an exact copy but a rough outline for a way to do it with the materials i have on hand.
The main fuselage spar is xps foam and the formers are epp. Also using carbon arrow blanks for strength.

I bought a pulse soldering iron for cutting relief in foam structures. If you cut it with a knife, the structure loses its strength. It is necessary to lighten thick partitions as much as possible!!

Thank you for the advice! I just added thicker ones in important areas such as where the wings will attach and landing gear.

I put 2 frames of 1.5mm plywood together with 5mm foam.It turns out to be an excellent and rigid design. The lightweight model flies easily and for a long time: slow and fast. The heavy model only flies fast and eats the battery quickly. My next project will be like this: https://paper-replika.com/index.php/rc-foam-project/dara-rc-plane-trainer-1500-mm I want to get a model with a flight weight of up to 800 grams. Look at the perfect fuselage solution in this model.
