Is this camera any good?

Are you planing to put it on a airplane? It's pretty heavy! My Qulima SQ12 is 17g.

Just Googled the camera, BangGood out of US has it on for $9.99 and 1.50 or so for shipping, their china warehouse is $16.67 . Juusy ordered one

The battery? 2 tiny 80mAh lipos mounted either side on the internal frame. Sadly to open it, ruined it.

Just like mine...does it turn on when the usb is connected? Mine was exactly the same type as yours.

It won't let me turn it on while charging but last night it was working.

@mach1 rc I think what Caroline posted got you as well mate. This is old school camera tech that has been sitting on a shelf.. You may have to cut it open and replace the batteries or be all techie and hard wire it in to the main flight system.

Those new quilema cameras mentioned earlier do well for videos and are small and light enough to fly on a Gremlin. Their only drawback is they tend to lose audio sync which in the end really isnt all that important for flight footage.

I got this camera in the mail today and I am wondering if anyone else new if this is cheese or good for the price. It was around 23 bucks so I thought why not. View attachment 152065

I had one until I crashed my Bushwacker, narrowly missing a car, nose in to the ground. The case was cracked open and the SD card flung out. It is a little heavy, but I was able to "fly" it on a twin sparrow. It takes good video though.

These little cameras are amazingly cheap for the quality.

I look at the price first especially if it is going to be mounted onto a plane, why would I want to destroy a $200.00 camera in a crash? If the video is decent that's all I need.

I've had good luck with my firefly Q6.

Not as cheap as some mentioned here but if you want really good footage and very little weight it's a good buy for $60.

If I dont care as much about quality I just use my little AIO camera and record off of my goggles...

60$ sounds a little to much for me. All I want is something g were you can at least see the plane 😜

yeah, but its 4K!

near go pro quality at 1/3rd the weight...

but yeah, I agree, if all you want is to see the plane, I've got the 1080 camera out of an old toy drone that i've used quite a few times that actually works pretty good! I love using it on maidens and such when crashing is a real strong possibility. Always fun to have a first person view of a good crash! lol
