KK2.1.5 Help with HFM S550 Hex frame

Hi,

I have made a number of multicopters in the past and haven't seen this happening before. I crashed my last frame (that I had made out of PVC piping, will post article shortly) and to make a quick build I bought the HMF S550 hexa frame.
Electronics specs:
Motors: Emax 2216 810KV * 6
ESC: Turnigy Plush 30AMP
Flight Controller Kk2.1.5

With the base PI settings the hex is nearly unflyable. The only way it becomes slightly flyable is if I reduce the P-Limit to around 50. Still when I increase the P-Gain the craft tries to move in the direction of the wind. The standard guide to PI tuning is not really working. I don't know if it is due to the slight angle of the motors that was built into the hex frame design. If anyone has faced a similar problem before please help me out as I am out of ideas.

Another issue I am facing is that, at high throttle the motors are making a weird noise and the hex becomes uncontrollable. I read that it is to do with ESC timing, I changed it to high and still am facing the same issue.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again.
