Well with the mini Scout built and flown, which works great! I have seen people wanting ailerons on the mini's. I love the Old Fogey and I thought that will be cool with ailerons, so I went for it!
First I reduced the fogey plans to 56% and that made it very close to the Scout's size.
I did modify the rear section to make it a little longer and stronger.

Next the main wing, I made it a under camber wing but with out any dihedral or polyhedral. Basically the same dimensions as the Scout. 24" span and 6" chord. and long ailerons. with a single servo.
The rear stabilizer and tail next.
Well it looks great!
I tried to fly it and well I started with a 6x5 prop because I did not want over power it as I was going for a slow gentle back yard bird, that failed! wide open on the 2s battery and it just would not stay air borne, broke that prop on ground contact, So next was a 7x4 prop and it flew a little bit but still lacked in pulling power...smack and another prop gone. Tried another 7x4 prop changed cg a little and retested, made it around the yard 1 time but a light wind gust 2 mph made it set still in the air and pushed it over the neighbors house and even wide open I could not get it to turn back....smack another prop gone! Yes I had it on correctly and It was turning correctly. So now I have had it! I go and get a 9x4 slow prop and "responsibly" chuck this bugger in the air and punch the throttle...... HOLY FREAKING FAST it was a rocket, ailerons are responsive and I whip it all over the yard and the neighbors yard ( he is cool with me flying in his yard (BTW). It is hanging on the prop and way to fast for the yard.....smack...... power line. Well that was 15 min. of fun for 1 Dollar. All the electronics are ok, plane is trashed. No video, It would not have been G rated anyway! I had a rough week and this was great stress reliever in the end!
