so far these sound like "winners" from every review so far
RC model reviews had a friend with teleporters and stated these are BETTER then the fat shark teleporters

Oh the benefits of competative capitalism!

With all these more and more affordable choices, I see an order in my near future.

I'm holding out for the Quanum goggles with built in diversity. Fingers crossed they come out this month!

Made to Mod

Hi everyone Steve here.
Just had to say that these goggles look like they are made to Hack and Modify I have watched all the videos made so far and I have purchased a set from Hobbyking along with the HMDVR and a OLED screen off of ebay and can't wait to jump in and start modding this great set of cheap FPV googles.

There indeed is quite a bit of room in them to mod them :) So far I have mainly just Used mine.. But for my video I did hack up a DVR into it as well..

For those interested in improving their Cyclops FPV visir, I have written new firmware that provides the following new features:
  • Manual selection of all 40 channels.
  • Frequency display in MHz
  • Channel name display in clear text
  • Signal strength display (useful for testing antennas)
  • Support for an external OLED screen.
  • A graphical spectrum scanner.
More information is found in this video:

I am currently working on implementing a battery voltage meter. That will be out in the upcoming 1.3 release.

We need a mod to use a external receiver like a 1.3 ghz
