pleas help. Trouble binding the Emax Hawk (to a TX16s) , oh also there's a loose (?) connector.

What's with the wire in the blue circle? is it meant to be loose?

I found the bind button behind the usb, (press from behind) but it still doesn't bind.

any ideas would bd be appreciated

Have you connected the quad to a computer using betaflight yet? If not you will have to do that so you can select the protocol you wish to bind to and the port the receiver is wired to.

Scroll down til you see the "stand alone" paragraph and click that link to get a version you do not have to be online with. Once you get that setup and loaded we can proceed. If you already have it setup go to ports tab set the ports (uart: labeled next to the pads its wired to) save the page then go the config page and set the protocol you wish to bind (dependent on the installed receiver.) Then match that in the jumper and you can then bind.

edit... That cable looks to be about where the VTX cable should be. take a look there to see if that is it. ALSO!!!! do NOT power that up without an antenna on it other wise you will smoke the VTX.

You are correct. According to that sales page there is no receiver. The good thing is you have the jumper TX so your options are many vs a proprietary system.
