Powerpack D motors work with Versacopter?

I have the power pack D for normal sized quads, would these electronics work with FliteTest's new versacopter? I know the suggestion is the racing quad pack, but would the bigger motors be to big or over powered? Is it the props they'll be swinging that's the problem?
Thanks for the replies!

They would be two large. The versacopter can only fit 6 inch props right now. If you use those motors they will not be able to spin the props fast enough to create enough lift, however flitetest has said that they will be coming out with bigger versacopters.

Seems like someone has tried and is having problems with D packs on the versa. http://forum.flitetest.com/showthread.php?25144-Battery-too-powerful-for-versacopter I thought the same as Pilot had said too big as well as kv ratings wrong for higher rev's

You could technically use the set up to build something on the Versa platform. It just wont be a race quad and be more like an AP Versa just use wider booms to get the motors spread out a bit.

This is so true. Thanks for providing that link by the way, very helpful. I already have the knuckles Hquad setup and was looking to getting into the "small racing quad" and from the info provided here I think it's still best to just get the racing quad powerpack.
