as long as we are all being salespeople here. ill toss out my 2 cents :)

The Rimfire is a good motor but I prefer the Leopard series motors if only for the many many available kv available in each size and at about half the price. I am using the 3536 (same as rimfire .15) but i chose 960kv instead of rimfires 1200kv. i have a few more prop options i feel between 3s and 4s I also have a 3542 600kv I plan to use for a plane with a 6s and 11in prop. You can find all the info and data sheets at altitude hobbies. If you like the rimfire and its specs are what you need, go for it. it is a solid proven reliable workhorse. I can not speak to the longevity of the leopard but so far I love it. and for the price, I couldn't resist it.

I really like the descriptions & data info on the Altitude Hobby products. FT should take notice because it helps entry level builders determine what will work with the new FB kit they want to build rather than just being told what use without the specific data to learn from.

Well I have the simple stick and kitfox to fix, the FT edge to build, and the P-38 and Corsair to finish, a racer and Pietenpol cut out, and a Hangar 9 valiant needing electronics, so I’ve got a good number of builds to keep me occupied for a while! Oh yeah, and I need to finish the plans for the Simple Stick and then I’ll be working on designing a Mighty Mini sized T-28 Trojan.
You forgot one :)

I looks a lot better in a photo than it actually is, but it can be restored. I’ll save as much of the foam components as I can for a resto-mod 4 channel Champ to be built in the future. The 1918 Hergt Monoplane balsa fuselage kit & cover are on order. The Champ will provide 2 servos, ESC, battery, wheels & receiver. I have 2 spare props & a spare motor with a mount that the Hergt is designed to utilize.

And, I have this Bloody Baron kit. A kit’s not exactly a scratch build, but I’ll throw it in the ‘Planedemic Quarantine Challenge’ anyway because I might come up with something scratchy for it as I work on it. I tend to do that anyway but I still lack the build skills like I’ve seen on the forum, we’ll see. I’ll rob my Slow Ride for a ‘B’ motor pack, receiver, ESC & order 3 servos. I have a spare 9X4.5 prop that’s not pictured. Thas’s all I got !!!

You better stock up on supplies, and I am not talking about toilet paper . :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: I really don't understand people's mentality, just in case they are self quarantined they are hoarding toilet paper.:unsure::unsure::unsure:
Panic buying - whatever someone says can cause others to go crazy and do stupid stuff... The fact that it reflects the people in North America is sad and scary... 😬

I will say that even though I lucked onto the Rimfire when I first got into the hobby, @Zetoyoc has convinced me to get into the Leopards. The options and price are hard to beat. Then seeing his Kitfox fly, i am sure that i will have full confidence in the Leopards performance wise, longevity has yet to be proven. I am sure I can put them through their paces though. My first Leopards will be going into a twin like the Seaduck so it will be everything times two

It might be biting off more than I can chew, but I have a Bloody Baron kit that needs building so I might as well throw it into the Planedemic Quarantine Challenge. Even knowing I can barely fly one of those designs.
Actually you will be surprised at the speed envelope of the combat series of planes. You can fly them fast and they are super maneuverable for combat, but check this out. Because they are so short coupled, you can keep them down to super low rates and fly them slow and stable as a trainer as well. I would say just build it and try it, they are super fun and will grow with you. Don't let fear hold you back brother, make it happen

So I am getting in on this challenge, not because I feel I need to be quarantined and there is nothing else to do. But because I am waiting on Spektrum to fix my Tx issues hence I can't fly, so there is nothing else to do. Plus I love to build.

My entry will be a common plane most of you will know but not common to FT. I have been tossing this idea around for awhile now, I have asked about whether I should do one or not, I was always 50/50 up until now. I find myself watching more and more vids on it, and plus there is a storied Canadian bush plane history to it. This plane served our back country long before the DH Beaver, was a service plane in WW1 and trained pilots for WW2 combat... if you haven't guessed it yet, it is the DH-82 Tiger Moth.

I have seen the new Tiger Moth that Hobby King has put out and I really want that one, but in the meantime I would like to design, build, and fly my own creation of it. It should be a pretty simple design to work with from a 3 view, the devil will be in the details. My goal is to design it to be replicateable, nothing out of the box beyond our building techniques or so fiddly that it would be difficult to reproduce. The build should be pretty intuitive if you have done a Master Series before. And to fly, well its a Tiger Moth, it should fly like a trainer at less then half throttle but a powerhouse when needed with all the maneuverability of the full scale plane.

I won't be making it cartoony with short coupling and over sized bush tires. I am gonna try to keep it as scale as possible in the looks and performance department. I think I am going full M.S. for the wings, no crease fold, all smooth. The fuse design lends itself to the box structure for the strength and ease of the build with formed turtle decks. The nose section might be the most difficult part to form but in my head i think I already have a plan for that. It should turn out nice and sleek, true to design, and fly just like the real thing.

Woo Hoo! Yes, great choice! Can’t wait to see the progress & flight videos.

Like in the movie Jaws, “I’m going to need a bigger house!”
Like in the movie Jaws......This kit should be here tomorrow in an 80" version, should have it done in a week, so I am in . As far as I know this kit has never been built or flown. Should be a fun challenge to get this to work. Here is where I purchased the kit if anyone else wants to have a "Shark Fest"
