Timber to Bushwacker

I have a Timber that has been repaired too many times. Thinking of getting the Bushwacker kit and using all the electronics from the Timber in the build. This would include the safe select/as3x receiver. Does anyone know if this would work as it should?

This should work fine. As you can see I used a Spektrum AR630 receiver (which is essentially the same as what is in the Timber) in my Bushwacker. It flys pretty much the same as in the Timber. Just make sure you have it in facing the same direction as it was before and make sure it is secure and level in the plane. Also make sure you test the switch that changes the functions and also test the safe features before you fly.
Also, FYI, I do believe there is a way to unlock that receiver and reprogram it for any plane you want to put it in. Check YouTube on how to unlock.

Thanks for the reply. Good information. Flite Test put a couple kits on sale so I ordered a Baby Blender and a receiver. We will see how that goes we may still get to the Bushwacker.
