Turnigy 9x simulator

I want to get my 9x working as a simulator controller but despite following all the instructions i can't seem to get it to work. I am using the 9x plugged into a regular auxiliary cable plugged into an small audio usb interface. I figure this is potentially the issue but my computer doesnt have a microphone port so i thought this would be the best way around it. The one i purchased is much like this one: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/USB-2-0-...ER-VIRTUAL-5-1-CH-MIC-Headphone-/250951090739
I am then using the SmartProPo Plus software and ppjoy but i cant get ppjoy to recognise the transmitter. Any ideas?

Hi mmeyer,
You really need something more like this http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...ator_Cable_XTR_AeroFly_FMS.html?strSearch=USB. This will allow your pc to see the tx. You don't say what simulator you are using so hopefully you are using one that that linked adaptor is compatible for. Be aware that even if you do get it working the 9x seems to have problems working with simulators. I have tried many times to get mine working properly but can't seem to get it just right. I think the best option is to set up a separate model for the simulator and concentrate on adapting that model to work. Good luck!
