I hadn't thought about signal interference. How do you defeat this? I'm thinking about if a patch of the skin was left foil free and aim to have the antenna(s) in that area.

You could poke one out the top, where the antenna is on the full scale. Or put them under the canopy area. I'm not sure it's really a huge concern, I only have anecdotal evidence of one failure, and that could've been caused by other issues not tape related.

On this scale, just load it up and do some range testing.

The third aircraft in my Mighty Mini P51 Mustang paper replacement or "skin" set is Bunny, a P51 that, when not flying, can be seen at the Palm Springs Air Museum. In 2012 the plane’s exterior was painted with the markings of the P-51 flown by Tuskegee Airman Lt. Col. Bob Friend.

I thought about doing a little fighter dude. Maybe something from the waist up? But how to make it cheap, easy to do and repeatable by most community members out there? That's the question that made me just say no to figures.

Awesome work Rasterize. I just love the cockpits. Nothing near your quality of workmanship but maybe a profile bust or full pilot to glue into the canopy or cockpit. For my recent Corsair I used an image from the internet and cleaned it up for printing. I use OpenOffice, Inkscape and GIMP for editing.

What size spinner did put on that boss?

1.5" sir. Same as the fuse width.

Cool. I did something like that a few years back for a profile SE5. Got the image from a poster of the movie "Flyboys". With 3D printing being what it is there has to be something to replicate. Thingiverse maybe?
