wing carry case material

I have been designing a wing carry case for my airplane wings and can not find a material that cant be punctured by a simple pencil, if anyone knows a good material to use please comment.

The wing bags I've seen members of my club use for their meter plus wings use what looks like padded nylon. I think a good diy option might be to do some sewing with heavy fabric like denim/backpack weight nylon and maybe some semi rigid plastic sheets that you can sandwich between the fabric. Or even cardboard.
