No, I have not. Please let me know your opinion of this simulator.
It would be difficult for me to give an unbiased opinion on this simulator, as I am half of the development team.
However, a lot of people quite like it.

I'm downloading the frame checker now, if my PC is up to the task, I'll be joining the fun.

BTW I've got an old usb controller from RF4 or some version near there, any chance it will work.

yes your realflight controller will work. Also you can use your regular transmitter you use to fly if you can connect it to your computer via usb cable or wireless dongle. It also works with Xbox and playstation controllers.

I was all set to install the Wings-Sim program but Windows Defender blocked the install.... I'd feel a lot better if this did not happen. You would need to get the program digitally signed before many will install it.

Same thing happened to me. I knew it’s legit so I just told windows to continue and download. It’s a ton of fun and works great.

You know this "digitally signed" thing is a nearly racket and does not prove the software is safe or not. A developer pays for that (pays the racketeer), but anyone can pay and get something digitally signed.

If you are downloading from a trusted source (which I think would include Steam), then having it "digitally signed" is doing nothing for you.

If you are downloading something from a random site, then .... well ... just don't do that.

But I agree w/ you. Having Windows defender throw up a warning will scare people off ...

If you are bored with this simulator, you can try your luck on the website playing popular gambling games!
A few years ago, I was into this kind of simulation. By the way, does it still work?

I had Wings on my last computer for a couple years. It worked as well as I could expect on that sub par machine. The issues were all related to the lack of graphics power.

I just downloaded the latest version to a newer machine and for some reason I cannot get the throttle to work at all. Everything else calibrates and works as it should. The throttle stays red and will not respond to the stick. Mode 2, so left stick. I am using the RadioMaster TX16s with a USBC connection.

Any thoughts on what I might be missing?

Cloud Strike software was digitally signed and still caused untold havoc because they found a flaw in the digital singed process.

It's official. I'm a moron. I had to flip the the throttle cut switch after the initial config step to get the throttle working.
I'm glad you got it sorted. I like to have a model on my transmitter just for sim use. This way I know to never mess with my trims and mixed and it just works.

I had some weird stuff happen last evening with this new set up. I think it was keyboard/mouse related. This a small form factor Dell Optiplex 3050 with a portable keyboard/mouse combo that I put together to travel with. I spend half my life in hotels and the boredom is detrimental to my sanity and my craft beer budget. The KBM is multi protocol and can be used with Win, MacOS, iOS, or Android. I think I didn't have it set to Win mode as the cursor was absent in the free flight screen and the hot keys did not work at all. I'll play with the keyboard settings some tonight, but I may have to scrap the wonderfully packable KBM set up and just go with a more traditional key board.

Here's the keyboard/mouse combo: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CTSFD2KH/?tag=lstir-20
