Hello Guys!
I am just starting with the RC plane hobby and I can't decide for my first plane.
I can't decide between FT Nutball and FT Flyer.

For the power pod electronics i was thinking with this setup (Prop-(http://www.altitudehobbies.com/parts-and-accessories/propellers/apc-style-electric-propeller-8x4e), Motor-(http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=2069&aff=247441), ESC-(http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__4312__TURNIGY_Plush_18amp_Speed_Controller.html) and Battery-(http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=9187&aff=247441)

So let me hear your opinion and thanks.

The Flyer is a great first plane. All of your selections are good. You may want to look at a slightly larger 2S or 3S battery. My flyer needs a bit more weight than a 2S 500mAh to balance properly.

The nutball is a fun plane, but needs a lot of tuning and practice. The FT flyer is a great platform and flies very well. It was my first plane that was any bigger than a HZ champ, but I had no intimidation.
I used to run mine (before it got dumped at FTFF 2014) on a hextronik 24-gram and a 1300mAh 3s lipo. It flew well, but was just a little heavy. Anything 1000mAh or smaller and you will almost have guaranteed vertical capabilities if you take the landing gear off, or use a light version.
Good luck!
:)
