Custom RC Folding Prop Adapter for Brushless Motor in 1 Hour!

I came up with a fix for putting a folding propeller on a brushless motor and can now put a folding prop on my Lidl Big Bird RC conversion! Better for soaring, and better video when a small camera is mounted on the plane. This should work on brushless motors with a bigger shaft too by drilling out the centre with a bigger drill before filing it down.

Local hardware store has something called rivnuts which is a round threaded eyelet that would eliminate the need for the centering spacer of the hub. Other than that carry on, your way works , too.

Cool, thanks. Don't think I've ever heard of those in the UK, but I will investigate!

Oops sorry, my 'Murican showing. They are classified as threaded inserts for sheet metal also a captivated nut.
