DJI Inspire 3d Printed Clone

Hello all,

I was just wondering if anyone would be interested in my own design and build of a Inspire one clone. Everything other than the canopy is scratch built and designed by myself. I've released all the stl files for free so if you feel like building one yourself then go for it :) They are uploaded on Thingiverse and on my own website.

It's been about a 4 month project with ALOT of research and design, printed parts .. more printed parts and even more printed parts :)

I have done a video of a quick flight in my back garden just to make sure it all works :) Below is the video;

Apologies, its not the best video but it's the best my little lad could do.

Let me know if you would like to know more.....

Thanks,

Steve

Hi JayArr,

After alot of testing I've ended up with a Towerpro 360 deg servo which is being run at 7.2 volts. This is controlled via an arduino plugged into the rx. The servo is coupled to a 8mm TR8*8 lead screw which moves the arms up and down via printed links.

Below are a few more photos.

Hope this helps :)

I wish my dogs were that well behaved :)

Nice work. I hope you do a build video one day. The whole process would be interesting to see.
