Solved Esc for helis or planes?

I want to use this 30a esc for my ft arrow that I am building:

But the fact the it has "heli-S" in the name makes me want to check that this esc isn't just for model helicopters and that I can use it on a plane if I solder the correct connectors on it.
In other words, this esc will work for my arrow right?

Heli-S is just the firmware. The full name is BLHeli-S. That firmware will work for just about anything.

So what would I need to power the receiver? I would prefer to just be able to plug it into the esc
