Went to the Southern Oregon coast and tried to slope for the first time. There wasn't enough lift (~5 kts) but it was a blast flying out over the ocean! There is something special about having the entire sky to fly. The wind shifted later in the day so but we just moved the opposite side.
I don't have any slope soaring planes so I took my Explorer. With the combination of low throttle and wind I was able to extend flights from about 10 minutes to 23 minutes.
