Hey guys,
I recently bought the FT 20amp ESC w/ XT30, it has the 3 bullet connections that connect to the motor, a 3 pin connector for the receiver, and a XT30 for the battery. But can anyone tell me what the red JST connector is used for?
Thanks,

You shouldn't need to worry about it for a normal build. I think it's for getting the full voltage of the battery. The 3-pin for the receiver only outputs 5V, which is what most RC electronics run on.

it is an auxiliary power connector. For example, if I put FPV gear in a plane without a flight controller, I use that to plug in the FPV gear (with a regulator if needed/etc)
