Completed my FT Flyer. Weighs 535g with 2213 935kv EMax and 1500 mAh battery. Slightly nervous to fly it as tail flutters on air flowing around it from the Propeller. Even more nervous as it is my very first flight and I have spent quite soke fortune from my expendable income onto this bird.

Nice! Overall it looks really good. I’m a bit concerned about the pushrods though, they look like they’re already flexing. When you push on either of those, either by pushing down on the elevator or turning left with the rudder, that thin wire will probably flex a lot so that you won’t have much control. An easy fix would be to add another zip tie retainer in front of and behind the one that’s already there.
Could not maiden it yet. Weather expected to be calm Today Morning. Tail is Fluttering. Motor is Jittering till 2-3 clicks after the Prop hit my knee.
But added some tape to make her look maiden-worthy.
Maidened this bird - Flies like a charm. Happily, No Torque Roll.
Black Box Logs:
1. 3-4 Maiden Flights.
2. Quite Foalty. 3. Landing Gear Bit into the fuselage.
4. Foam wheels cannot handle the weight. Axle Holes are Widened.
5. Motor Axle Maybe Bent. Prop got bent. Motor was jittering earlier after it hit my leg. But with multiple nose hits on landings Motor starting up only at 90% throttle.
Investigations ongoing. You - The Expert Investigators are invited to suggest improvements. I shall post photos of every damaged area.
But fun elements first. It looks like a kite - in all the excitement of First Maiden, I forgot what is left and right, I could see the plane going right towards the garbage truck but did not realize am pulling it that way wight all my might. Luckily, it landed into a tree. Looks like a kite stuck in a tree. .
congrats!
i would buy a new one, but there may be a way to rebuild if parts are available. hopefully someone will know.
