+1 on Dutch's suggestion on the packing tape. Ive had a bit of success with my RC version this weekend - with one hard-level chuck and minimal control input Ive managed 3/4 the length of a football (soccer) pitch. CG is definitely better further back but some ballast really helps penetration in a light head wind.

Hey SheppO! I have to be honest... I am sad I have not seen this before now!!
I wanted to say thanks for mod'ing out the FT Tiny Trainer into a smaller fun fly gilder/rc version! I just saw a STEM SCOUTS team build these and they had a GREAT EXPERIENCE!!
Thanks for inspiring other as well as pushing this hobby forward!

Hi Stefan - I don't have notifications so I only just saw your very kind words. Thanks dude - that is really great to hear. I kinda can't believe a little project I did for myself got picked up and used in such a way. A testament to the amazing community you guys set up.
Was this something you saw online or IRL !? I'd love to see pictures - but just hearing about it is more than enough so thanks for the heads up ! SheppO

I know you won't get this quickly, however, I am the one who used your glider plans with the STEM Scout night. I've actually done it three times. 2 with scout groups. mine and a neighboring pack, and once with leaders in another district. The 1 sheet is a real selling point for me.

I'm going to try a rubber band launched one this time, but plan to alternate back and forth. My hope is to get this into a flying group for kids.
