Hey there flite fans, I am a new guy in the flite test society, and is looking for someone to guide me through scratch build foamies.
I have been working on a tiny trainer recently, and here is the problem I have faced:
The Foam.
In the Uk, foam board retailers sell foam that is ”compressed” and very hard to cut without tears, with impossible to remove paper.
How I solved this is I used a depron like foam from B&Q. Link:https://www.diy.com/departments/dia...-board-l-0-8m-w-0-6m-pack-of-8/1906880_BQ.prd
This foam is like depron, is really easy to cut and pretty light weight and quite rigid provided you tape-cover both sides. I have been scratch building my tiny trainer out of this.
I would be pretty glad if anyone were to be kind enough to recommend the foam they have been using in the uk. Also if there’s anyone out there willing to teach and guide me through scratch building.
Thanks guys for your time.
ps. Photos of half finished scratch build (FTTT)⬇️
