Got a 1000kv 3836 motor in my parts bin with a 11x7 prop and beefy spinner to match.. But currently no plane to put it in!

Was thinking of using it in a up-sized plane like a 130-140% scaled simple scout..

Was wondering if anyone has experience on this motor (or similar) and can provide a good idea if this is not enough motor for the plane size on 3s (possibly 4s next spring) or if there's a other good plane I should consider for putting it in!

I used a 3536 1200kv in a lot of the original sized planes FT puts out on 3s, which is overkill. And For some it wasnt easy to balance just because of the weight if the motor. But back then i would overbuild the airframes as well, mostly because i would crash a lot, so it worked out. I would say you are heading in the right direction by upsizing the Scout some. Give it a shot, you won't be disappointed
