Guillows Piper Super Cub RC conversion

So I’m almost done building this super cub and it looks like it will fly! Wings are slightly warped like a banana from root to tip but there doesn’t seem to be any washout type warping. I don’t know what my deal is but I can’t make wings look pretty but, I can make a fuselage look decent even though there are far more curves in a fuse than in a wing. I used JB weld for the landing gear and got some bigger tires too because big tires are cool.

Maiden Flight tomorrow morning! Everything looks good! The Cub weighs 6 grams less and has 2 more inches of wing area than my foam 182 so it should be a better flying airplane as long as I didn’t warp the wings a ton.

It’s too windy to fly this cub right now so I get back to you guys after the maiden.

Winds calmed down a little bit so I did some test glides which were hit and miss. Most of the time it glided fairly straight. So I did a little maiden in my backyard and it seems to pull real hard to left due to p-factor and stall out. I think I’ll have to trim it a lot.

Well that’s the end of that.🤣 I actually got it to fly but it was so out of trim that it got pulled into some rocks.

He's right. Look closely at the photo of the kit box in the first post. It's an Aeronca Champion 85. Good catch.

That’s actually the box for my tissue paper I keep the boxes to organize my stuff. Also look at the wings they’re rounded like cub wings.
