Hot wire templates

I make mine from plans, take any set of RC plans and make a template to cut the parts. You can use wood, laminate even formboard to make the templates. With foam, you need to cover the foam where the wire will ride, with aluminum tape, the stuff used to seal air ducts. After you apply the tape, you will need to smooth it out with a screwdriver or something similar.

Plans are everywhere, magazines, internet, you can make you own from a 3 side view. Here are a few places to start.

Does anyone know of alternative to devFus/devFoam/devCad? (https://www.devcad.com/eng/devfusfoam.asp) I do not have windows. Or if not, how to go about converting 3 side view plans into hotwire cut plans.
