Install engine in balsa plane!

Hello there! i just got an Kyosho P-51 40 size plane. i shall install the bolts to the engine mount but this is the first time so i need some advise how to do it right?

Not sure what you are saying. Did you attach the mount to the engine? Or did you attach the mount to the firewall.

I wonder where i shall drill the holes? The center line is to the right and the hole? shall the engine be to the right?

When I mounted an engine, I always put it in the center of the firewall. Not sure why yours is offset. Possibly there is some right thrust, the offset is needed to put the prop in the center of the fuse. The prop being 3-4 inches in front or the firewall.

Do you have a cowl that fits on this plane, may be why there is some off set. Does the engine sit upright sideways upside down. Different engines the mounts do not line up exactly with the crankshaft.. Me I would center the crankshaft with the firewall, and the cowling and where the mount ends up is where it ends up.

Yeah its an Kyosho ARF Model so there is a cowl included

So your engine will be mounted inverted line up the crankshaft in the center of the cowl and mount it. Make sure the prop thrust washer clears the outside of the cowl so when you mount the prop it clears the cowling.

Okay so i shall not care about the centerline on the firewall? Shall i align it so i get some right thrust?

You can always change thrust line after you fly it, NORMALY there is right and down built in to the firewall. Normally center line ( left to right ) will line up with the crankshaft as should the cowling. Up and down is totally to fit the cowl and the engine you are using.
