I'm going to the monthly Fly-in breakfast today at our little local airport (KPPF) and hope to stir up some interest in the FAA Proposed Rule of remote Identification among the area's pilots. Many of them are Builder/Pilots and I know that their homebuilt light planes aren't required to have any type of radio communication. Yes, that's right I said "They have NO communication radios". They're out there flying around Free as a bird in uncontrolled and sometimes even 'Controlled' airspace. Yet the FAA has singled US out for oppressive rules of identification.
I need to find a link to the proposed rule by the FAA so I can print and handouts to give to all the pilots who show up.
