Learning to design

I would like to build a foamboard skyraider. It does not look complicated. I just don't know how to design the wind and engine cowling. Could some one point me in the right direction for learning how to manually draw the plans

Nerdnic did a YouTube series a while back on how he designs foamboard planes. You might give it a watch for some ideas.

Skyraider yeah! I would love to see it completed and be first in line for a copy of the plans. I do so love the Skyraider.
