Marius first maiden with his own plane

I just want to apologize for the lack of videos for the past few weeks, I've been working hard on finalizing my new hobby-room/workshop and also managed to get the thumb into the table saw. As thumb flyer it's a bad combination so there has not been any flying before a small test this weekend with mixed results (crash video coming later this week)

Here is a film of Marius (my son) who got a Durafly Tundra for Christmas, this is his very first maiden with his own plane after he became the solo pilot. Could not have done better than this as a first flight with the new plane. A very proud father here now and I'm look forward to many flights together with him.

Hope you like the video.

Very nice. How do you like the Tundra, I've been fighting the urge to buy one. Most of my hobby money goes into quads though!

Wake up! Time to fly!
Oh cool. Congratz on the maiden. I was peeking at your channel not three days ago to see if you had anything new posted.

Smooth landing after considering it would probably nose over with the wheels in the snow.

I just love it, it's so versatile and easy to fly. The model in this video didn't need any trim at all, just centered everything when we did the setup. You can look an my other Tundra videos in my channel when I'm flying with wheels, floats and skis. You can do what ever you want with this model, even run it straight down in the tarmac....... ;) Thats what I did this weekend and fixed it in about 30 min, just one ski, propeller and one Wing Strut broke. The Wing Strut was an easy fix to, so it handels perfect and it can take some beating.

So go for it, you want regret it...........

He made several perfect landings, so I'm pretty proud of him.

There will be more videos from now on. It's been a lot of work to finalize my new workshop, just some final touches now and then if there are any interest will I maybe make shop tour video. I'm also waiting for my thumb to heel, it did make me crash this weekend so I know that when I'm flying now do I have to take it easy for a while.

Here are som pictures of my workshop now.

How do you guys keep your work stations so clean!? If my work space was that clean I'd never be able to find anything. Organized chaos is my motto!

Well it wont stay like this for long. We have just built this workshop from scratch, new isolation, new floor, new walls, new ceiling, new custom built workbench 8 m long (26.25 feet), custom built storage wall for planes and wings. We are still in the process of setting it up and organize it, in the pictures are about 10-15 planes still not in place, missing tools and other accessories so just enjoying it for the moment........... ;)
