Mini scout, Tiny Trainer power pod ideas

I used a technique on my Tiny Trainer power pod. I just used velcro to secure the power pod. It works well on the TT, but there is obviously some play along with the motor thrust. It works because the fuselage is so long. Fast forward to my mini scout and sportster. I tried the same technique. Because of the short fuselage the play caused too much upward thrust; I figured out not an idea that would work. I'm using the skewers now, but was playing with the idea of using magnets. Maybe 4 magnets on the outer side of the power pod and on the sides. I'm thinking it could add to much weight and also may not be strong enough to secure the motor with all of the thrust. I'm wondering if anyone else has thought of this. A friend of mine has devised a plan on the Spitfire to use a balsa power pod that slides in and he uses wooden dowels. He hasn't tried it but a bit too involved for me. The other idea would be to permanently glue the power pod and create some type of hatch on the top side so the motor and ESC are still accessible.
