My 'remember your basic troubleshooting' experiance ;)

I have a mateksys F405Wing that I am trying to get connected to the INAV configuration on Linux, however it keeps not being able to open the port. ddg "INAV Linux Failed to open serial port" only gets me stuff based on INAV + windows or generic Linux issues. I have already addressed the generic Linux issues (that I know of) - which are adding my user to the dialout group, so software running as my user is allowed to access the serial ports. Arduino can connect to Arduino board ok.


and here is me facepalming.... I didn't verify the cable is a data cable and not just a charging cable...

Found a cable that was a data cable and issue was fixed....

Thats why I started marking the ends of my data cables with red sharpie. After realizing I have an abundance of them I have cut all my charge only cables in half and binned em.
