New bee needs advice

Hi guys,

I am Shifag.I just started playing around with rc planes and a still very new when it comes to the electronics.especially the motor and the ESC. I was wondering what would be the motor/esc setup for HobbyKing Edge 540T EPP/Light Plywood 3D Aerobatic Airplane 1220mm (ARF). As i live in maldives i would like to know a good motor/esc i can buy at ebay for this plane. appreciate any help on this,

Hi Shifag Welcome to the FT Forums!
May i ask what sort of experience you have flying rc models? If it was me, i would buy from the hobbyking international warehouse as everything would come in one package so you dont have to pay multiple shipping costs which might happen with ebay. In that case i would go for this motor:

The NTM motors go pretty well and the plush speed controllers are very reliable in my experience.

I'd really recommend just going with hobbyking though as even though customer service isnt as great as some places, it will cut down on shipping and perhaps is more reliable than any old ebay seller...
