Hey all,
Thought it wise to introduce myself here. Name is Matt. I just signed up here on the forum (I've been on the facebook group also for a week or two) and I've just gotten into RC aviation in the past couple weeks. I've followed the FliteTest videos for a couple years now kind-of wishing that I could get into the hobby and even bought an FT Flyer and an FT Sparrow a couple years back. Unfortunately I never could get it to fly well and I just sort-of gave up.
Fast forward to this year, I got re-interested after watching the FT Simple Cub video and decided that I'd give it another try. Man am I glad that I did. I maidened it this past weekend and it really flew great. I probably have a total of 3 hours on it now over 2 days (keeping batteries on basically a constant charger rotation all weekend) and I learned a whole lot.
Here's my new problem... I don't know where to fly! I spent the past weekend at my parent's house, which is on some farmland in Venango County, but I live on the north hills of Pittsburgh. If anyone else is in the area, can you tell me where some good flying spots are?
thanks
Matt P
