Greetings all.
New owner of a Delta ray, and have crashed it several times. Seems to not have enough power to really get altitude, nose crunch. How difficult is it to transfer all the hardware to a new body? What is needed? Tape, glue, hot glue? What about electronics, will i need to soldier and whatnot. Also, what is needed to swap to brushless, besides the motors? BTW, SWM, short, professional, big kid, obviously.

From memory the Delta Ray Has always been a little underpowered especially if you try to stunt it.

Shifting the electrics to a new plane normally requires just a few basic hand tools and some glue.

As for increasing the power just remember that the more it weighs the faster it must fly to stay in the air.

Swapping any brushless motor setup for an existing brushed setup will require some rework of the mounts, remove the brushed ESC and fit a suitable brushless ESC and of course the motors. Props might also need to go as the props will need to be suited to the new motor in diameter and in pitch.

It might be simpler for you to by something that already has brushless motors or buy a FT kit and go from there.

Have fun!
