OSD System

Hey everyone, I have been flying FPV for a year and a half now and am working on an FPV wing build. The build is going to be much nicer than what I am used to (it'll be hot wire cut, glassed, and vacuum bagged) and I want to put some good electronics onboard. I have wanted to put an OSD on an aircraft but have always not gone for it due to budget or not quite knowing what to get in order to achieve the features I want:

REQUIRED
Altitude
Speed
Battery Voltage

NICE TO HAVE
Heading
GPS Coordinates
Amps
Home Arrow
Artificial Horizon
V/S

I have been looking at the Excellence Mini OSD/ GPS system on Hobby King (https://hobbyking.com/en_us/mini-osd-system-w-gps-module.html) and flashing it with uOSD (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oI8UkivSW68). I also planned to add a UBLOX GPS module (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKOO-mIOdlo) and eventually add a current sensor (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UbK6z051FRs). This system has everything I need but requires a LOT of hacking and DIYing (all things that I am fine with, but would prefer something less janky).

System Total:
Base OSD: $26
GPS: $10
Current Sensor: $4
USBasp: $4
TOTAL: $44

Alternatively I could get a Naze32 Acro for $12 (http://www.valuehobby.com/multicopters/control-boards/6dof-rev6-controller.html) or a Naze32 Rev 6 10DOF for $17.50 (http://www.valuehobby.com/naze32-10dof-rev6-controller.html) or a Naze32 Flip32+ for $20 (http://www.valuehobby.com/multicopters/control-boards/naza-10dof.html) and a Micro MinimOSD for $8 off of Hobby King. This would give me the added ability of a flight controller down the road. I believe I could also add the same GPS to get my coordinates and home arrow. This is a lot cleaner, but not sure if this would be a correct setup.

System
Naze32 Acro: $12
Naze32 Rev 6 10DOF: $17.50
Naze32 Flip32+: $20
Micro MinimOSD: $8
GPS: $10
Flashing Cable: $4-8
TOTAL: $34 to $56

Thoughts? Any other ideas? I am trying to do this for around $50. Also, if I went with one of the Naze boards could I initially run it independent of the flight controls (effectively using it as a sensor platform)? Also, is there a way to interface a Naze with an AR610 receiver? Thanks!
