Hi guys

My first time posting on FT and also my first quadcopter build. I've flown a PnF kit before up to now, but decided to start building my own one and also with a bit of research I've decided on the following. Just for the record, anyone is welcome to give some feedback if he had any experience with any of this following equipment I'm planning to use. If you've got any tips or need to know about any of the stuff please feel free to give your feedback. As i mentioned its my first quad build and only can go according on what I know and read. So here it goes...........

S500 Glass Fiber Quadcopter Frame with PDB 480mm
AX-2810Q-750KV Brushless Quadcopter Motor
HobbyKing 30A BlueSeries Brushless Speed Controller
HKPilot Mega 2.7 Flight Controller USB/GYRO/ACC/MAG/BARO
Quanum LEA-6H GPS with Compass and Pedestal Stand with Case
Minim OSD v1.1
HKPilot Mega 10s Power Module With XT60 Connectors
1.2GHz Circular Polarized Antenna RP-SMA (Receiver only)
1.2GHz 120° Flying V Antenna (RP-SMA)
HKPilot Mega LED Driver Board 12V (4ch) (APM)
Turnigy HD ActionCam 1080P Full HD Video Camera w/Waterproof Case
Carbon Fiber Propellers 11X4.7 LH and RH Rotation Pair
Quanum Q-2D Brushless GoPro 3 Gimbal
Quanum DIY FPV Goggle Set with Monitor (KIT)
LawMate RX-1260 1.2GHz 8Ch Wireless A/V Receiver
1.2Ghz 4 Channel AV Transmitter 700mW FPV (V2)

Ok I think this covers basically everything I needed. I just wait for my package to arive and then I will start to assemble and do the first test flights.
Hope all this makes a good combination for a ideal quadcopter for the average FPv and recreational pilot.

Blue skies:cool:

Gideon, I have noticed that you haven't made any new post about this quad. I have just purchased the same one from Hobbyking and was wondering if you had any further feedback on the build and flight experience. Any information would be greatly appreciated! I can't wait to get mine!
Thanks

Hi guys

Yes its been a while and the reason is cause I work for long periods at time away from home. My quad is finished and struggle with throttle problems. The gimbal I mount with the carbon tube removed and the little piece of metal as bracket from gimbel bolted with extra hole I drilled in front onto the base plate. I used velcro to keep battery in place under base plate with a velcro strap around it threw the base plate.

Anyone that had issues on the throttle setup that can help with parameters maybe?

Cheers and will check in more frequently.
PS Will post some pics later.
