So i am split between the Skyzone V1 and the Fatshark Dominator V2. What should i buy?
This is my first real pair of FPV goggles (i hve a quanum diy kit) but i want a more portable setup because e i travel a lot and want to have my mini tricopter with me to do fpv.

I have seen a lot of review on youtube but nothing with this two models of video goggles so i don't know what to buy.

For the fatshark i would buy the Beta Bands Video Receiver, and maybe in the feture the head tracker but since it is a lot of money the head tracker would have to wait.

Down below are the links for some prices in my region
SkyZone V1
Fatshark Dominator V2
If you know of cheaper prices in europe please post them.

I cant directly compare both, because I only bought one (skyzone), but for me it was an easy choice: higher resolution and diversity pretty much decided it for me. Especially the diversity, it allows me for instance to mount one patch and one clover antenna. Added bonus is the built in camera and IPD adjustment and headtracker. Overall, Im quite pleased with the skyzone (which btw, comes as a V2). Havent used it extensively yet, but in some short tests the diversity receiver seems to perform noticeably better than my boscam receiver. The picture quality is excellent and the field of view just right for me. Buttons and operation are easy but I will say the rubbers, while blocking out all light, dont fit my face very comfortably, but thats gonna be different for everyone.

What you lose is the built-in DVR of the fatshark, but the quality of that is so poor, its not a big loss IMO.

For the record, I got mine from Hobbyking (EU warehouse) and it was delivered in 2 days. Do note it comes without battery and a very long extension cord, so order a battery and keep a soldering iron handy. Also it has SMA connectors, most of my antenna's are RP SMA.

I have sma antenas and i was thinking in getting the Immersion SpiroNET LHCP Patch 13dbi to use with the the goggles and maybe a Aomway Recever with DVR to record the flight. The hdmi loss also makes so diference since i would like to use the goggles with a fpv simulator on the pc. But yes i looks like that the Skyzone are the best bet. But i want to ear more things.

Im not sure Id use a 13dB patch antenna without diversity as its really hard to orient your head while wearing the goggles, especially if you plan on using the headtracking. Anyway, I ordered this one to see how it works:
http://www.banggood.com/Aomway-5_8GHz-14dBi-High-Gain-Flat-FPV-Receiver-Antenna-p-947148.html

Its RH polarized, but I think/hope so are my other cloverleaves :).

As for HDMI for sim; does that even work @ 640 x 480 ? Im guessing many sims will require more than that. Even if it does, I think Id quickly go back to my regular monitor. Your PC may also have composite video out which you could connect to the skyzones if you really wanted to.

If think you might want to switch frequencies in the future, dominators can do 5.8, 2.4, and 1.3ghz for long range setups.

I was talking about using a patch with the skyzone, and my macbook doesn't have a composite out but a think i could use a converter. All my clover are left hand polarization
