SR-71

I’d like to see a simple, mini and a master build of an SR-71 Blackbird some day. I imagine the mini would be pretty easy, the mini would be fast and the master series… awesome!

Quite apart from any weight/wing area issues building a true scale EDF SR71 has a fundamental problem. The inlet "spike" occupies a huge proportion of the inlet area.
To keep a scale size spike would mean using substantial "cheat holes" to ensure the fan got sufficient air or use a much smaller size spike.
However by placing the fan right at the back of the nacelle in the convergent/divergent nozzle it might be possible for the total of all the scale inlets to provide sufficient air to the fan.
Just an idea.

Here is some food for thought.

Been done, but it is an ungodly logistical pain somewhere for not a lot of success, but sometimes you gotta scratch that itch. Can you fly a small plane suddenly going really darned fast? I cant.

After dropping Shuttle and flying it down, worked on Bell rocket 1, where drop it from transport, let it fly down and across field, then hit D-12 rocket and pull it up and then glide back down.

Knew wing was not large enough for weight, so when nobody at field, very nervous( kept backing up) I fired it. Actually checked controls on way up(slower than my 200 mph Formula 1) and had a sharp landing slope.
