Meet the crazy bunch, the addicted RC group!
The ones that no matter what the weather is outside are at the field on Saturday at 7AM sharp.

This Saturday was raining but we all got to fly at least 1-2 batteries :), to realse some steam for the hard week we each have.

A very long time ago insta 360 had a chalenage that was called GO BOLD! The Flite Test was partcipating and went through a tunnel with a 3D printed plane that they built. Well about a month later I also gave it a go trying to pass between two low trees with the Unicorn Wing. A year or more later I actually finished going over the dozen or so videos from that day that were filmed with 2 different cameras from different angles to make this.

Passing between the trees wasn't as easy as I thought and I had a dozen or more crashes on the way. Did I manage to pull it off in the end? Well you'll have to watch the entire video to find out...

There is a time in the hobby that we just need something fresh. Something new, something that we haven't tried yet.
Well this is one of those moments that I just wanted to feel something new an got a taste for some nitro RC planes.

Alright so we are getting a feel for nitro planes, but I just don't stop.
So here is me getting a feel for a RC Heli. It's not me flying obivously, but defeantly gave me a push to get my RC Heli's preped for a maiden flight and with a teacher like this I should be fine.

I also tried put my 3D printed DLG today, so a video of that should be out some time soon, stay tunned.

Good evening friends. How are you?
Two months ago I finally got to meet face to face an amazing community member here in Israel named Omri. This is after we had been in contact by phone for a long time. Why is Omri so amazing? So that's it, for those who don't know, and I believe that the majority don't know. A few months ago, Omri contacted me to get some tips on a RC build workshop based on the knowledge I gained from the workshops I give at the Kipod center (recyling center) from time to time and he received them with great love.

Omri the champ organized a plane workshop for 15 children of elementary and high school ages when he takes them on a trip to get to know the hobby. In several meetings of about an hour each time, when not all meetings took place because of the security situation here.
He taught them how to build an RC plane, let them practice in the simulator and at the end even helped them fly the plane that they built while he guided them.

Two months ago Omri held the closing meeting and very respectfully invited me to attend it. Of course I couldn't refuse, I took a day off and went to meet him and the lovely children and it was WOW!!! There are really no words that can describe the feeling I felt that day when I saw how his hard work bore fruit. The fun it was to see these children spread their wings and fly, was sensational. I know deep down that this was just the starting shot for many more workshops he will have.

This guy really deserves a round of applause.

The first time I built the X-29, as part of the FTFC20 challenge, it didn't fly because I burnt the ESC that was connected to it.
You can read more about that here: FT-Build-Ruary: FT X-29 Build by @mayan.

After a long time of wanting to get this model flying but not having an ESC a friend invited me to his flying to come take one, so I built the most of it at home and went to finish it off at the field as well as maidened it there too.
Here is that video.

For a long I been wanting to practice my 3D flying skills however was always afraid to give ago until a friend gifted me the Crack Yak55. A small and very light model, which is also very forgiving. Not only did he give me the model he also encouraged me to go fly with him at the field at my son’s school. So here is an unofficial first indoor/outdoor flying meetup in Israel. I say the unofficial because there will be more and some that will be more organized.

Israel's FIRST Unofficial RC Indoor/Outdoor Flying Meetup! Very Spontaneous!

Some times dangerous stuff happen at the field, like what you are just about to see. A helicopter crash, brought it into a chicken dance and a friend that was brave enough to walk over and stop the engine from running by closing the air hatch on the nitro engine.
DON'T TRY THIS UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING, I WOULD'T!

In the old days, blades were made out of wood, at a meet, guy stepped up to stop his rotating blades and broke his kneecap.
During those days, I carried an old Army blanket in the car to throw over the flopping beast. Worst we had was a brand new heli, threw a blade and fully destroyed a flopping heli (battery flew out) when my son went into acrobatic mode(2600 revs).

Friends this is a special video that I made, the first one in 360. So please get off the couch, start turning around with your phone and experience some 3D crash flying with me in an inclosed area with some friends.

You must open it on the YouTube app to be able to fully experience the 360 video.

This is the first time that I am playing around with a 360 camera and its footage and boy is it complicated. I ended up using two different softwares to make this. One is for stitching two videos together to basically get rid of the fish eye blobs that create a panoramic video. The second software is used for editing the video and isn’t all that friendly but I have to use it to be able to encode the video in a way that different video players can display it with 360 capabilities like YouTube, google photos and others.

If you know of a better way to edit the video or encode it please let me know.
