Having recently fitted a 64mm EDF to the FT F22, I thought I would fit a 70mm 12 blade fan to the Versa blunt nose.
Anybody fitted an EDF to this model?.

not that i know of but wouldnt be a challenge. thrust tube might be an issue tho

The 64mm on the F22 has not got a thrust tube and is fairly quick. I don't think its essential, but will see what I can come up with after test flying without one.

With a wing, an EDF tends to force a hard pitch forward, so adjusting the thrust angle with a thrust tube may be very important. See @Mid7night video on adding EDFs to the Flerken.

I have tried this on other flying wings, and as long as the EDF is mounted on the centre of the thrust line 0/0 it does not pitch up or down at all.
A budy of mine put an EDF on a standard Versa. It worked well. I don't remember the specs of his setup. It was a bit under powered as I recall.

I wrote an article years back. I put twin edfs on a blunt nose Versa. I used the bigger thrust tube design to mount the motors
