Visiting USA?

Hello, I’m going to be in the States for the next 2 weeks, I was wondering if I could fly some rc planes in or around Avon NC, and what the rules are there? I’m coming from Canada with my 2 kids. I’m still building confidence in my flying so, if you know anyone in the area that I could connect with for some buddy boxing that would be really cool.
