What is your REAL job?

Let's see. Here's a list of what I do at my day job:
  1. CAD Design
  2. Machinist
  3. Welder
  4. Fabricator
  5. Electrician
  6. Maintenance
The company I work for does extrusion - we coat single strands of wire (usually silver plated copper) with compounds. We also extrude filaments that get used in everything from filters in aerospace and medical applications to the filaments that stuff multi-conductor cables to keep them round.

Most of the equipment we use is designed and built in-house. That's where I come in. I design/modify machines in CAD (Inventor), make the drawings, cut the stock, do all the machining/drilling/tapping, then weld the parts. Then after powder coat I do all the assembly and wiring of said machines. I also am takes with maintenance on the machines - leaks, filters, fluids, bearings, etc.

I also design and make tooling that we use in the extrusion process. I frequently machine materials such as Hastelloy C276, Monel 400 and Inconel 718 as those materials are high-temp and super corrosion resistant. A lot of the coating compound we use is FEP which is a super-pure teflon. At the temps we extrude FEP at (pushing 800F) the vapors are VERY caustic and will disintegrate steels and stainless steels in short order.

I install and maintain Growth Chambers and Environmental Control Systems. Sounds like fun, but it's very tedious in reality.

Well, my real job is professional essay writer, I'm writing, editing and proofreading content. I worked at all of services mentioned in Business-review article, so pretty long road. I was aviation enthusiast for a long time, but because of health issues, could make it. So I decided to write about it! :)
wow good for you, sorry mate but I bet even you can admit that essay writing is pretty boring just glad to see you’re back in aviation

40 years young, been an optical technician for 15 almost 15 years. So cnc machine setup, programming and troubleshooting, though most is just enter numbers and double check everything, not much code or CAD. Glass has no room for error like metal. None. 😬

I don't really have a real job but I do have some sort of a business on Etsy. I make and sell PVC pipe bows, and sell templates for cardboard helmets. If you'd like to see it here's the link. https://www.etsy.com/shop/OnPointArchery?ref=simple-shop-header-name&listing_id=1241474016 It makes some money.
I don't have a real job because I'm 15. I could but I haven't yet because my Etsy shop was doing okay and I was going to start hiring some of my friends to grow it, but that didn't work because I didn't get enough sales to be worth it. I'm not a middle aged man and don't have a job. Should have included that I guess.

Thanks! I'm currently working on a clone/republic commando helmet right now, along with a bunch of planes and bows. I have too many projects going on. Also, that's cool that you actually make the sabers. What do you make them out of? I'm assuming lathed aluminum or steel?

That guy isnt real he is a bot
Ah-ha! That explains the poor grammar. I thought it was strange that someone who is, "writing, editing and proofreading content" didn't proofread his first post here. If I needed a writer it wouldn't be him!
