Wow, Ive had motor fires in crummy helis and smoked motors when driving my truck in desert 110 degree weather but I've never had a problem with batteries. I refuse to run puffy ones bcuz I'm afraid ill watch my plane go up in smoke.

So I just got into the hobby and I had to buy almost $300 worth in stuff. And all that stuff is still pretty low quality. I am still using a 4channel Hobby King transmitter and saving up for a FlySky one. However where can I find cheaper electronics(mainly batteries) that also have fast shipping. Amazon just has too little options and is pretty expensive but has good customer reviews and Prime and fast shipping and free returns. Is there a place where I can buy electronics from a reputable manufacture with free returns/warranty and fast/medium shipping(like at most 2 weeks).
If you want reliable electronics I would by from flite test or hobby king they have some of the cheapest most reliable electronics

If you are barely starting in this hobby it does not matter where you get it or how cheap you get it. if you are looking for cheat some times it hurts. but there are some places like timmy said banggod or aliexpress i have bought from banggood and also ebay. alot of the stuff is really durable. but just like a real pilot, before you take your plane to the air you got to check your gear, make sure everything is tigh and in good working order. just because you used it last week it does it mean that some thing got loose so you got to check every thing before you put a battery on your bird. have fun

I just got the TX16s and it is hands down the most performance/value transmitter out there. I’ve had a Spektrum DX9 for a long while and love it, but the TX16s should be every newbies first radio at 1/3 of the cost and 3x the features.

As far as where to get it, it is back in stock at a lot of places now.

Another thumbs up for the TX16s, I went to that even from spektrum. Quite the upgrade features wise, but there is a considerable learning curve involved with openTX that spektrum's interface doesn't have. Everything else is in favor of the RM.

I just watched your review on yt a few days ago! I'm going to that from a dx6 as well.
