Been working on the new gas fuelled 92" Extra, there is a glow...
On a whim I decided to take on this massive print project.
While the rational person would already have concluded cost + hours = cheaper to buy a foamy I do love a good challenge.
Stay tuned as this project develops and progresses.

So it started out with a set of 64mm (3S) EDF motors and some 40AMP ESCs.
It ended with what appears to be a decent setup. Fingers crossed.
The initial glide tests showed me I could move the battery closer to the main fuse and shorten the nose section.
The 2nd round tests with flight controls...

Flexible 3D printed parts are very neat. Not only do they absorb vibrations on the arms but they also help with impact...
Well I took the plunge.
After months of debate and discussion.
I purchased a DJI Phantom 4.
Initially I had been searching for a nice deal on a P3 Advanced but that never materialized.
The price difference between the P3 Pro and P4 is small enough that I decided to just get the 4.
I was...

Durafly Curtiss P-40N Warhawk 1100mm (PNF)
Anyone listening to the Afterhours Podcasts will know I've been waiting for this plane a long time.

For a while now I've been trying to do flying updates.
Discussing projects and experiences.

Missed a few weeks in a row but managed to record one last night.
Here is the link to all the previous recordings.
(Having some issues posting the photos for the build so I'm doing this in sections.)
