Guest Alpha Enos from Motion RC.
Alpha and André sit down to discuss the hobby.
Been working on the new gas fuelled 92" Extra, there is a glow...
On a whim I decided to take on this massive print project.
While the rational person would already have concluded cost + hours = cheaper to buy a foamy I do love a good challenge.
Stay tuned as this project develops and progresses.
Supermarine Spitfire MkIX
So it started out with a set of 64mm (3S) EDF motors and some 40AMP ESCs.
It ended with what appears to be a decent setup. Fingers crossed.
The initial glide tests showed me I could move the battery closer to the main fuse and shorten the nose section.
The 2nd round tests with flight controls...
Honestly it followed me home.
Just one more plane. I promise.

MultiRC sent me a 150mm Shenanigans quad frame to review. (Rest of the kit I purchased)
This is a new direction for me. Tiny and I have to say I do like the use of the TPU.
Flexible 3D printed parts are very neat. Not only do they absorb vibrations on the arms but they also help with impact...
Well I took the plunge.
After months of debate and discussion.
I purchased a DJI Phantom 4.
Initially I had been searching for a nice deal on a P3 Advanced but that never materialized.
The price difference between the P3 Pro and P4 is small enough that I decided to just get the 4.

There are some pretty amazing people in the world.
And doing the podcast has connected me with some many.
One gentleman named Scott from Australia decided I needed a challenge.

The Skipper is one of those planes you should really try.
It is a little wild but handles like a race car. Specially if you have snow issues.

Durafly Curtiss P-40N Warhawk 1100mm (PNF)
Anyone listening to the Afterhours Podcasts will know I've been waiting for this plane a long time.
When HobbyKing accounted more production delays back in the spring I all but gave up on the plane and opt'd to buy a used Dynam Fw 190 1200mm. A...

Missed a few weeks in a row but managed to record one last night.
Here is the link to all the previous recordings.
(Having some issues posting the photos for the build so I'm doing this in sections.)

Felt nice, slightly more sluggish then the FT Racer but fun.
Then the itch to fly something bigger grew...
