Helicopter addict
Hi guys,
I've made some floats for my T-rex 450 helicopter, and I've been flying on the lake! And it went great!
I simply put some plastic bottles onto a wood frame, strapped it on, and up it went! I'm also amazed by the great feedback I got from the other people out there. There are quite some regular float flyers out there, but it seems none of them had ever seen a helicopter on floats before :black_eyed:
I did use the cheapest, lousy electronics in there to make sure in case of an inverted landing, I wouldn't kill the higher end stuff I usually fly with. That's also the reason it didn't have enough power for a nice loop... but oh well. First time, I enjoyed!

Oh and yes, the tail rotor looks crooked in the picture... I fixed that for subsequent flights.
