5 Tricopter Lessons (learned the hard way)

1.if you want to go full throttle on a tricopter, and its a bit tail heavy.... apparently it does a backflip.
2. FPV through a GoPro Wifi doesn't work... Apparently Wifi is 2.4 ghz.... as is your transmitter.... (got lucky, and stayed in control, barely...)
3.Balance is important. VERY important.
4.Creating a parallel circuit is harder then it seems. Don't catch your house on fire like I almost did.
5.If you want to use a gopro for video, invest in an antivibration rig... it makes the video 10x better.

I'll add a few -

  1. It's not as easy as it looks
  2. Body english does nothing
  3. Don't fly over yourself
  4. If it starts to get away from you, put it down
  5. Naze32 defaults for Tricopters are horrible
  6. Prop usage will decline
  7. It gets easier

8. Double check that you are on the right size motor tab when ordering.
9. David's V3 CleanFlight version for Naze works pretty well.
