Radio transmissions?

How hard would it be to have cell towers monitor for our signals and triangulate them like a shot detector?

The NSA already does this with our cell phones. It's not a stretch they could do the same with our RC stuff, but that costs money. Which means you and I would pay for it ultimately and the cell services would make a tidy profit on it. All just to ensure the security and safety of the nation from our toy planes! (Like a terrorist is going to follow the rules!)
