About to start my first ever build - FT Simple Cub

Hi all,

Am about to start ordering for my first ever build - the FT Simple Cub. Whilst my preference would probably be a speed build kit, it's probably just a bit hard to get hold of/bit too expensive here in the UK, though am wondering if I can press into service the laser cutter I have access to at work.

Anyway - the main thing I wanted to ask advice on is the gauge of piano wire I need to source for the undercarriage and for the pushrods (and also what I should get for the wheels themselves). Do any UK-based folks here have any advice of where I could get hold of them? Thanks in advance!

Hi, the pushrods are .035", landing gear wire is .100" Recommended wheels are 2.75". Here in Canada, I couldn't find the exact sizes for the wire and used 1mm wire for the pushrods (.039") and 3/32 wire for the landing gear (.094"). Don't know about the laser cutter, but a sharp knife works good.
